I’m an atheist taking a Catholic theology class. My teacher said that science cannot prove its own suppositions (we can trust our senses, the world behaves in a rational way, etc.) because those questions fall within the realm of philosophy. Can someone guide me through why this is incorrect? I have a basic idea but haven’t quite nailed the specifics yet.
