As proof:

Popes Benedict and John Paul were gifts to humanity. Thank God for them.

However, and unfortunately, relativism has come in reaction to Church-dictated absolute truths. Neither is ideal from my perspective. Or, I should say, both produce (or manage, in the case of the Church) irrationality. Relativism is quadrant 1, and Church-dictated truths are depicted by quadrant 2.
