Stop Digging Holes

I hope that the preceding image can give you something to think about.

Emotions are the defensive system for the SELF. As such, emotions can drive you further into your existing thinking. This is how emotions make a hole.

The search for understanding is the opposite. It adds new thinking. This is how one climbs the mountain.

You initiate the latter by accepting the truth of any situation, and then, endeavor to understand why it is perfect from God’s point of view. Understandably, from your perspective, it may never appear perfect (we do, after all, have the needs of the SELF to consider); however, searching to understand God’s point of view brings you a few more steps up that mountain. Sometimes, this process takes a while. Also, you may not have all the information. Some events may require the future to make clear.

Today, this is what the world looks like to me:

Everyone is digging their own individual hole. With each scoop of dirt, people grow more isolated from one another. Yet, none can experience the hole of another, even if they passionately desire it. Emotions have made the walls insurmountable; thus, people become cognitively imprisoned by the walls of their small and unique holes.

This problem, I believe, is why humanity struggles with marriage and relationships.

The preferable alternative is to climb up to a place where we share the same beautiful view as far as the eye (or mind) can see.
