What is the best balance between Objectivism and Collectivism?
Collectivists are emotionally immature. In emotional immaturity, the person does not have a free mind. They are trivially programmable by others. They cannot problem-solve, and they contribute emotional chaos to society and relationships. Civilization is simply not possible with emotionally immature people.
Free will is the solution, and the contemplation of objective truth is evidence that the individual has acquired it.
Ideally, 100% of civilization would have free will (SELF-control). However, people are born emotionally immature. Still, the capacity to contemplate objective truth is a sign that schools, churches, and families are doing a good job with cognitive development and free will.
The capacity to delay gratification (SELF-CONTROL!!!) is another good sign.
