Quora – Do most Marxists today concede that Marx’s vision of a classless, stateless society in which government “withers away” is hopelessly naive?

This question may misunderstand Marxism. If the premise were true, Marxism would have disappeared in failure with the USSR.

I think the problem is that Marxists are cognitively oppressed (no free will or rationality). They know the world changes, but they do not know how to participate in it or bring about change (sans revolution [destruction/remaking]).

A perfect example is Pol Pot (Cambodian communist revolution).

GOOGLE – Pol Pot’s agrarian revolution was a radical and brutal social-engineering project that sought to transform Cambodia into a classless, self-sufficient peasant-farming society.

GOOGLE – Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge systematically targeted and murdered intellectuals, educated professionals, and city dwellers in Cambodia between 1975 and 1979.

So, for the American DSA and communists, it’s always and exclusively about revolution. The next step is an afterthought. Past communist failures are irrelevant because the Marxists are getting left behind with capitalism now. Moreover, revolution often works to destroy freedom and capitalism. This they know.

YET, a classless, stateless society in which government “withers away” is a pipe dream in collectivism, where there is ALWAYS an authoritarian. The dream nevertheless successfully deceives the oppressed rubes. Their brains can’t see this because capitalism (cognitive freedom) remains their enemy #1.

Nevertheless, capitalism offers something different and better: class mobility. However, this is a non-sequitur to a Marxist because they remain cognitively oppressed. This is their cognitive class prison.

Free minds are not prisoners of class, even if class exists.
