Human rights violations

Off the top of my head (freedom of thought is the central human right to me, to deny it means death):
- Uyghurs genocide / oppression (Freedom of thought denied: this is accomplished by genocide)- China
- Freedom in general (Freedom of thought at risk, no freedom defenses: speech, religion, to bear arms, etc.) — Cuba (Iran, and many others obviously)
- Freedom of thought & its freedom defenses (speech, religion, to bear arms, etc.) under attack — United States
I’ll bet there are many others more egregious than #3. But, the US is needed for leadership. If it falls (by bankrupting itself or other), the rest of the world is under much greater threat.
