Socrates said that people commit mistakes because they do not know that what they are doing is wrong, do you agree with him?

In general yes. Sometimes they also know it is wrong (by some objective truth based logic), but they do it anyway (by applying their own subjective truth based logic).
Anyway, in the long run, many people figure this concept out. Buddha did with suffering. Buddha argued that we suffer because of our misunderstanding of the world. This view is similar to the hypothesis you attribute to Socrates in the question.
