Are the philosophical needs of Americans being met?

No. Because humanity is presently encouraged to let others think for them. That power must not be trivially delegated. It harms society.

Thinking (and specifically problem solving (reasoning)) must be maintained by individuals. I say that emphatically.

The elite want to deprive the individuals of personal power, because it transfers to them when the individual surrenders it. But society then becomes unstable.

For example:

My spouse is a nurse (in training). She indicated that the hospital staff are highly managed. This is so that the hospital can manage liability. However, the more the staff are managed, the less practice and habits the staff have in patient problem solving. But it is a death spiral of service.

The hospital staff and hospital organization are now actively attempting to get patients thinking. I 100% agree with this strategy. Patients must be involved and responsible for themselves. It is the only way.

People must think and be responsible for themselves.

This is how the people are not served.
