How does the court of public opinion influence the legal/judicial system?
Judges, like all humans, are influenced by everything around them. Some however, are extremely disciplined and resist those external influences. Others, have their misapplication of power checked in the checks and balances of the broader legal system.
However, public opinion should influence the legal/justice system. This happens through America’s representative republic and the legislative process.
Aggrieved individuals also have a say through legal challenges in the justice system.
