What should be done to reduce the gap between the rich and the poor in Canada?
Increase the problem solving skills (and problem solving reach) of the poor. That’s it.
Wealth is created when problems are solved. Technology allows the problem solving process to scale.
What always happens is that governments do precisely the wrong thing. They argue to spend money to solve the poor’s problems. When the government takes care of (solves the problems of) the poor, they enfeeble them. Now, the poor can no longer solve either their own or other people’s problems. The poor must instead become self reliant and self governing.
I believe that some in government understand this, yet they continue creating dependency anyway. Therefore, government’s actions explicitly make the problem worse. In response, government argues to do more of the same. The wealth gap thereby grows. I swear, it is like … Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy.
I am sorry. It is deeply diabolical too.
